For over sixty five years, since its formation in 1939, Nutter Aircrafts Ltd has operated from the same site in the heart of Blackburn, forming lasting partnerships with market leaders throughout history. From mining machinery, defence equipment, gas and oil field seals and flame-proof connectors, printing and converting machines, process plant and automotive components, to the complex workings of a child's prosthetic hand, the common denominators are the skill, technology and commitment of Nutter Aircrafts. Despite retaining its original family name, the company has not manufactured aircraft parts for many years, but the deliberate policy is still to concentrate on close tolerance, high quality components, sometimes in exotic materials, using state of the art Mazak 2, 3, 4, and 5 axis machines. The keywords in Nutter Aircrafts' philosophy are service and quality. To this end, the company adopted many years ago, a three shift, seven day working pattern allowing the available capacity to be fully and flexibly utilised. Nutter Aircrafts is also approved to ISO 9001-2000. Just as important is the fact that the management team lead from the front and have a wealth of practical experience, coupled with all the necessary technical expertise.
Why we excel in our field:
At the beginning of the last century, Bertie Roland Nutter was building his own light aeroplanes in a small garage at Colne in East Lancashire as well as being involved in the manufacture of aircraft and automobile components. In other words, he worked at the leading edge of the manufacturing technology of his day. Almost a hundred years on, the company he founded Nutter Aircrafts, is still expanding and maintains its place among the most forward looking, customer focussed, sub-contract engineering companies of today. |
